My values

Accessibility priority

First and foremost, I am a queer therapist and I work to align my beliefs with my profession. My sessions are open to you even if you are unfamiliar with feminist and LGBTQIA2+ circles. Inclusiveness, consent and accessibility are pillars that I stand for. I believe in access to healthcare for everyone and I campaign in this direction. My mission supports the ideals that healthcare should be a basic human right; this includes mental health care as well as alternative and preventive medicine.

You can contact me if you are having difficulty accessing my practice due to a disability. We will see how to solve this problem.

Support for marginalized groups

Developing inclusive practice means promoting, facilitating and defending the integration of marginalized groups. I am therefore committed to making my practice accessible to all and to prioritizing these groups.

I acknowledge that I live and work on unceded traditional Indigenous territory. The island called “Montreal” is known as Tiohtià:ke in the language of the Kanien’kehá:ka and as Mooniyang by the Anishinaabe. This city is a vibrant and active gathering place for Indigenous and other peoples.

Knowing the past and current consequences of colonialism is crucial. Aware that a good intention is not enough, I am therefore committed to learning more about the history of these territories and to supporting indigenous resistance.
I know this process requires patience and kindness. I encourage everyone to learn about and support indigenous organizations that fight for the well-being of their people and their territories.

As an Intersectional
feminist,

I work
with women

and support them
concerning issues
that are specific
to them.

Respect and consent

As an Intersectional feminist, I work with women and support them concerning issues that are specific to them.

The practice of hypnosis has been heavily impacted by the history surrounding this therapeutic relationship and the power dynamics involved, using hypnosis as a tool of domination.
At the end of the 19th century, Professor Jean-Martin Charcot used hypnosis to study “female hysteria”. The classes were presented publicly and showed women in very spectacular hypnotic trances.
These demonstrations gave the result to the rise of hypnotists and their spectacles in grand multiple, where the hypnotized-hypnotist relationship staged the senses of losing or gaining control over another human.

This is why women have so much to contribute to hypnotherapy. It is essential today to put consent at the center of therapy. It goes without saying that consent can be withdrawn or redefined throughout the sessions.

Ecological crisis and sustainable activism

Aware of the ecological crisis, I accompany people suffering from anxiety and eco-anxiety, living with fear of the future and ongoing ecological disasters. I create and propose tools to help people live better in the midst of the destructive consequences of capitalism, now and in the future.

I practice hypnotherapy to support people and empower individuals. Individual progress benefits the group, groups and relationships help us to grow up.

My approach encourages to disrupt performance ordinances enforced in activist, academic, artistic circles or elsewhere. The acquired strength welcomes and acknowledges our vulnerabilities, challenges us to be active listeners, develops our healthy curiosities & enthusiasm, and allows for rest to reinforce sustainable activism.

I support the idea that collective care is a way to embody anti-oppressive ideas.
